Whenever the weather changes this time of the year, my thoughts navigate towards memories of what happened almost 3 years ago. Most of my close friends know what I'm talking about and know this is a subject that is very hard to talk about.
Tonight I came across a YouTube video that has further confirmed thoughts that have been brewing in my head the past 3 years. I hesitate in even talking about this here on my family blog (but here I go)
Jesus suffered.
Christians are not perfect and deal with things that are very painful. To believe otherwise is crazy. Yet there are Christians I've know over the years that put up a "good front" and try to convey an image of "perfection" (I was guilty of this). And they promote this mindset to others as if it's the Gospel or a lifestyle. I would even dare say this type of Christianity is a self-absorbed American attitude, opposite of what Christ stood for.
This is wrong
The YouTube video I mentioned above was preached on October 10, 2007. Six days later Tennyson passed away, I wish he watched this.
If it is a scenery, I appreciate! If communication is a kind of friendship, I desire! If the friend is a kind of heart, I treasure! Once I met, destined to chance! A visit to life, friendship! A blessing, with all sincerity!
